Is my savings account not working?

I put money in a PNC Statement Savings account and it hasn't collected any interest in the amount of time it's been there, which has to be over 3 months by now, possibly 4. I was thinking that if I put money in that account, it might start a new timetable for the monthly interest. Is that true? If so, that would be the reason since I put in $50 from each paycheck, which is every two weeks. If that's not true, why would I not be collecting any interest? It says monthly interest and minimum to gain interest is $1.
